The Armory Shell Set AR628FC Black Dawn with Chrome Hardware is a high-quality drum set with a noble finish. The hybrid shells made of birch and maple impress with warm projection and defined attack as well as sensitive dynamics. Other professional features of the Mapex Armory Shell Set AR628FC are the SONIClear bearing edge and the suspension system, which allows unhindered resoncance of the shells and easy tuning, especially at low frequencies.

Mapex Armory: Hybrid shells

Hybrid shells made of birch and maple form the basis of the Armory series. Due to the arrangement of the woods (outer and inner layers of birch, maple in between), the Armory drums develop an exceptional resonance and a strong punch. The shells respond very quickly and sensitively, allowing for a dynamic playing style.

SONIClear bearing edge

With the SONIClear bearing edge, the Mapex Armory Drums feature another innovation. The highly rounded edge provides increased head-to-head contact, which puts more tonal responsibility on the shell and emphasizes the natural sound of shell and wood. In addition, tuning the Armory shells is made much easier, especially the low frequencies become more present in the sound.

SONIClear Suspension System

The tom suspension of the Armory drums was borrowed from the considerably more expensive Saturn IV series and ensures unrestricted resonance of the shell. In addition, the force generated when hitting the head is held in the shell and not dissipated through the hardware. The spring-loaded floor tom legs of the Armory drums have the same task.
