The MAYBACH Lester Earl Grey '59 Aged PLEK is an authentic interpretation of the legendary guitars from the pioneering days of the electric guitar in the 1950s. Crafted by a dedicated team of European luthiers, this Singlecut guitar impresses with correct mahogany construction, stunning flamed maple top, nitrocellulose finish and humbuckers from German manufacturer Amber. The frets of the guitar are also dressed with the innovative PLEK machine to achieve an optimal, sharp-free string action.

Carefully selected mahogany is used to build the body and neck of the Maybach Lester 59, and its low Gewicht contributes to the guitar's delightfully easy handling. The breathtaking flame of the solid maple top is furthermore accentuated by the "Earl Grey" nitrocellulose finishwith an almost plastic touch. While the beefy "Big C" neck profile provides the authentic feel of a Golden Era electric guitar, the PLEK treatment of the Wagner medium jumbo frets allows the string action to be set comfortably flat without the Lester's tendency to unwanted buzz.

The pickups of the Maybach Lester Earl Grey '59 Aged come from the German manufacturer Amber. The two handmade Amber Spirit or 59 humbuckers convince with their absolutely authentic Vintage sound, whose almost attack and vocal singing sound development create optimal controls for authentic blues and rock sounds. The pickup reacts with sensitive dynamics to the player, so that nothing stands in the way of expressive electric guitar playing. To adjust the sound, the Lester '59 naturally has the historically correct 3-way circuit with separate volume and tone controls for each pickup.
Vintage style hardware
Last but not least, Maybach completes the Lester Earl Grey '59 Aged PLEK electric guitar with high-quality Hardware in historically documented vintage style. From the typical Stopbar tailpiece the strings are guided over the proven Tune-O-Matic bridge, which promises an optimal adjustment of intonation and string action. On the beautiful Larson Style headstock, Gotoh SD-90 Relic tuners with Single-Ring Tulip wings also ensure accurate and robust tuning.
