Besides the usual excellent wood selection, which manifests itself in the mahogany body with poplar burl top and the five-piece wenge amaranth neck with ebony fingerboard, Mayones relies on the popular multimensur construction, which guarantees a tight sound of every string due to the scales increasing from 25.4" to 27" (645 mm to 686 mm). At the guitar amp, Mayone's TKO by Bare Knuckle humbuckers deliver modern rock and metal tones with excellent detail and dynamics, even at high gain settings and lower tunings. Last but not least, the Hydra Elite 6 V-Fret Headless guitar is equipped with six ABM single fine tuner bridges and an in-house S-CLAMP headpiece.

Based on a compact headless design with individual scale length for each string, the Mayones Hydra Elite impresses not only with a first-class wood selection, but also with extremely agile handling and a tight sound. The multiscale construction with scale lengths between 25.4" and 27" (645 mm and 686 mm) promises optimal tension for every string, even with drop tunings. Alongside the slim mahogany body, Mayones relies on an intensely figured burl poplar top, while the six-bolt neck is five-piece wenge and amaranth (Purpleheart) and carries an ebony fingerboard. The compact body design with wide Cutaways and the slim D-neck profile guarantee unhindered playability across all 24 stainless steel frets, with fluorescent side dots from Luminlay marking the layers.
While TKO by Bare Knuckle humbuckers elicit modern metal sounds from the guitar amp with tight precision, ABM Fine Tuner Bridges keep the guitar securely in the correct tuning.
TKO by Bare Knuckle Pickups for Modern Tones
The electrical tone conversion of the Headless guitar is handled by two Mayones TKO by Bare Knuckle humbuckers, tuned by the British pickup forge to the distinctive characteristics of Mayones guitars. The TKO bridge humbucker, equipped with powerful ceramic magnets, delivers a punchy and tight sound with excellent Tracking of every note played even at high gain and low tunings, while the TKO neck pickup is a modern Alnico V humbucker with a particularly clear and open sound. To expand the sound repertoire of the Mayones Hydra and authentic single coil sounds, both pickups can be split via a pull of the volume knob. In addition, the electric guitar is equipped with a treble bleed circuit that prevents treble loss when reducing the volume with the volume knob.
The brass S-CLAMP headpiece provides a secure hold for the strings of the Hydra Elite VF.

Berlin-based hardware smith ABM contributes six 3801 single-fine tuner bridges, which not only allow precise adjustment of intonation and string action, but also guarantee precise and stable Tuning. Behind the GraphTech Black TUSQ nut, furthermore the brass Mayones S-CLAMP Element headpiece secures the strings at the neck end.
