The Vintage Pure HiHats have a very dry sound with extremely direct stick sound. The chick sound when played by foot is also very direct and fast with a cutting edge. The unique, "earthy" look does the rest to perfect the exotic appearance of the Vintage Pure cymbals.
After the Ride cymbals from the Vintage Pure series generated quite the buzz, Meinl has decided to expand the unique Vintage Pure series with additional models. The Vintage Pure HiHats and Crash cymbals are certainly a great addition.
Unique sound and look
Eventhough the Byzance Vintage Pure cymbals look like they are a very esoteric or even punky sounding instruments, they are actually made for Jazz, R'n'B, Funk, Soul and Pop. A special manufacturing process makes every single Byzance Vintage Pure cymbal a true unicum in terms of looks and sound.
Made in Turkey
The elaborate manufacturing process of the Vintage Pure cymbals is done by experienced cymbal smiths at the Meinl factory in Turkey. The cymbals are made from a high quality B20 alloy, shaped and hammered by hand.
The Vintage Pure HiHat
"Defined" and "direct" are the two main characteristics of the Vintage Pure HiHat. Even played in extreme conditions, the HiHat will always sound controlled and has a great response with both a stick and your foot. The dark and dry sound has plenty of cutting edge.
