Meinl Quick Set Markers MQSM, Markierungen f. DrumteppichIf you have a big drumset with lots of stands, then its quite hard to memorize the correct places for each one. You can use duct tape, but if you change the setup from time to time, it can get quite annoying to tear off and put new tape all the time. These "Meinl" quick-set markers do a great job. They allow you to memorize the places for each stand or drum, and its very easy to change the setup - simply take them off and put them elsewhere, they stick by a Velcro underneath. They also come in different shapes and sizes for individual drums and stands.
I have found that they do not stick to every rug. Its best to use the "Meinl" drum carpet with these, but any other rug with fine enough threads will do. They will not stick to heavy soft carpets with big threads. But if they stick to the particular carpet, then they will not come off during transport or performance. Everything will always be in place.
