NUX PEDALS Optima Air NAI 5
Acoustic guitar simulator with IR technology
The NUX Pedals Optima Air NAI 5 simulates authentic acoustic guitar sounds with almost any guitar type. For this purpose, the pedal from the Verdugo series uses innovative IR modeling technology to make the distinctive sound characteristics of the most famous designs with different pickup systems available.
15 pre-installed Impulse Responses
15 presets of top-class acoustic guitars are available from the factory, offering everything from famous jumbo models from renowned manufacturers to the extremely popular dreadnought. In order to achieve first-class results with every type of guitar connected, the collection contains presets for both magnetic pickup systems of the electric guitar and piezo pickups of the acoustic guitar.
Creating your own Impulse Responses
If you want to capture the individual character of your own guitar and make it available to other guitars, you can easily create your own impulse responses. To do this, connect the guitar's pickup to the input jack and feed an additional microphone signal into the pedal's return jack. From the difference of both signals, the innovative pedal finally determines the unique timbre of the own instrument, which can be stored on one of the nine internal memory locations.
For ideal results, a condenser microphone with additional preamp is recommended.
Preamplifier with 3-band equalizer
Pressing the Amp switch activates the preamp section of the Nux Optima Air pedal. This provides an additional gain control and a 3-band equalizer to adjust signal strength and the fine adjustment of bass, mid and treble in the signal for each application optimally.
Numerous connection options
The Nux Pedals Optima Air comes with numerous connections for various applications. Besides a serial effects loop, there is a DI output in XLR format, an aux input for playback devices and a headphone jack on board. An additional USB port allows firmware updates and the editing and saving of presets via the free Optima Air software.
