In addition to the mahogany body with a stunning flamed maple top, this electric guitar features a glued maple neck whose flat "Pattern Thin" profile guarantees extremely great playability across the rosewood fretboard with its coveted bird inlays. Two powerful PRS \m/ humbuckers provide diverse metal sounds with crisp definition. The eponymous Floyd Rose Original double-locking tremolo completes the PRS Custom 24 Floyd Charcoal Burst.
The luthiers around Paul Reed Smith use only selected woods that lead to a perfect sound and playing experience for the construction of the PRS Custom 24 Floyd Charcoal Burst. The body is made of selected mahogany, while the solid flamed maple top features a distinctive and even flame. The glued maple neck, with its well-shaped "Pattern Thin" profile, offers the perfect balance between a rich feel and smooth playability, allowing riffs and solos to come out of your hands quickly and easily. The rosewood fretboard features traditional bird-inlays for easy orientation across the 24 frets.
The PRS Custom 24 Floyd Charcoal Burst uses two PRS \m/ humbuckers in the neck and bridge position. Specially designed for guitarists of the heavier styles, these pickups use powerful ceramic magnets for extremely hot output. They provide aggressive yet cleanly articulated sounds, allowing riffs to whip out of the speakers with tight attack, while solos sing with long sustain. In addition, the 5-way blade switch allows the humbuckers' coils to be selected in various combinations, making several sound nuances accessible.
The PRS Custom 24 Floyd Charcoal Burst features high quality hardware. The eponymous Floyd Rose Original double-locking tremolo allows for unbridled actions with the vibrato arm without causing the guitar to go out of tune. Six PRS Phase III locking tuners are located behind the clamp nut, which not only ensure precise tuning but also make string changes much easier thanks to the clamping function.
