The PRS DGT Birds Charcoal Cherry Burst electric guitar is the result of many years of collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and the restless session guitarist David Grissom, who has appeared as a sideman with the Dixie Chicks and Allman Brothers Band, among others.
Blessed with the genes of the popular PRS McCarty, the PRS DGT features a mahogany body with curly maple top and a glued mahogany neck in the bold but comfortable "DGT" profile.
Two PRS DGT humbuckers, specially tuned to David Grissom's tonal preferences, deliver top-class vintage sounds on the guitar amplifier, whose metier is lively clean and overdrive sounds between country, blues and rock. Due to the coil split option, the PRS DGT guitar also delivers first-class coil sounds with high transparency and lively dynamics. Last but not least, a PRS Gen III tremolo and PRS Phase III locking tuners complete the PRS DGT Birds Charcoal Cherry Burst.
