Jupiter -80 Synthesizer Version 2

The Roland Jupiter-80 Synthesiser is a 256 voice, 4-part, 76 key powerhouse synthesiser built to house a culmination of 4 decades of revolutionary work that Roland has invested into creating the most realistic and richest sound possible and in providing incredible detail, control and expressiveness for true tactile and total control. This second incarnation further refines this modern revamp of a stonewall classic 80's synthesizer, the JP-8, providing much better PC interaction and adding integration with Roland's own DAW, Sonar.

The Jupiter-80 by Roland is not just an updated and modernised reincarnation of the Jupiter-8, one of the most revered and desirable synthesisers of the '80s. From a distance they are very similar with the Jupiter-80 featuring the same layout as its '80s ancestor with the same brilliant, bright livery and styling. Close up, the differences are plain and plentiful and although the classic sounds are present, making it the perfect retro synth, there is also the addition of a sound set to rival most workstations thanks to the use of the superNATURAL synthesiser engine, which is both inspired and inspiring.

The Jupiter-80 is far more than a synthesizer and provides an amazing array of both instrumental and synthesised sounds. They have laid everything on the line by pumping 30 years of technological developments into the Jupiter-80. The D-Beam, touch screen, four superNATURAL synthesis engines with independent DSP effects, and Tone Blender are all things that were not available 30 years ago when the JP-8 was centre stage and provide the core technologies the Jupiter-80 has been built around.

The Jupiter-80 brings the power to create infinite classic sounding synth noises via its analogue modelling synthesiser or the ability to quickly dial up the most realistic sounding acoustic instruments on the the market. Adventurous users can set about mangling together all sorts of sounds, both synthetic and acoustic, using all nine available layers of sounds and effects, all wrangled through the arpeggiator, to create one super-sound, coupled with the expression controls available you can be playing incredible sounding and complex synth parts with a single finger! It is this culmination and combination of features that is what the Jupiter-80 is really all about. It is a stage synthesiser built with live performance at its heart. Whatever music you make or perform, you can be sure the Jupiter-80 will take centre stage and provide everything you need.
