The Roland Studio-Capture USB 2.0 Audio Interface is a 16x10 interface and the flagship model of Roland's Capture series.
The Roland Studio Capture features 12 premium microphone preamps while also maintaining the portability found throughout the Capture range. With 16 audio inputs, including 12 XLR/jack combo inputs, and ten audio outputs, the Studio-Capture packs a great deal of features into its compact design.
Each preamp is controlled digitally thanks to the included software control panel and features Phantom Power, a low-cut filter, phase invert and digital compression for a truly versatile recording experience. Two of the four inputs on the front of the unit have Hi-Z switches for directly recording guitars and basses, while the two headphone outputs have dedicated volume controls as well as the ability to monitor directly from the input source for low latency listening.
Additional connections include MIDI and Coaxial inputs and outputs, while the Studio-Capture comes with 2U rackmount ears for integrating it into a rack system. The Studio-Capture features an Auto-Sens function, which automatically sets the correct input level in seconds, while there's also the ability to create up to four independent monitor mixes, useful when recording a band or ensemble. For really big projects, two Studio-Captures can be used together to expand the number of preamps available.
