High-end summing amplifier for that certain something at the mixdown

The Rupert Neve Desigsn 5057 Orbit is the consequent further development of the analogue in-line mixer and combines, well dosed, the sound of past eras with the signal quality of modern high-end technology. The Texture circuit with 2 timbres, already known from other RND devices, is also present in the 5057, just like the output transformersfrom the Shelford Channel, which was highly praised by the press. Both elements together, in conjunction with the working level and the trim control, allow a very fine adjustment of the saturation behavior of Class A amplifiers and transformers. So that the following transducer is not overdriven, the 5057 has a level-reduced aux output, which hangs on another transformer tap.

Gentle signal handling in reference quality

But the summing unit convinces not only with its tasteful fatness and the typical overtone spectra, but also with the behavior required by modern productions in terms of signal fidelity: The frequency response deviates in the audible range only max. 0.1dB from the reference line, the operating voltage is increased compared to conventional devices, so that a significantly better signal-to-noise ratio is achieved, and the channel separation is optimized to such an extent that the stereo image is not destroyed. This makes the 5057 an asset to any DAW-based mixing system and enhances your mixdown, no matter what genre you're in.
