The Rycote Portable Recorder Suspension HD is elastic suspension for the Zoom H6, and generally suitable for portable recorders with 1/4" female thread, heavier than 300g. A new Lyre-based suspension for portable recorders, the suspension offers excellent isolation from vibrations, shocks and handling noise. Featuring the new 1/4" to 3/8" Swivel Adaptor, the suspension fits any portable recorder with a 1/4" female thread. The suspension can then be mounted on a 3/8" male thread, mic stand or boom pole, or be attached to a camera hot shoe. The 180° swivel allows for easy orientation of the recorder so it can point in the exact direction of the speaker. The suspension uses the patented "Lyre" to give unequalled isolation & robustness. Unlike rubber or elastic suspensions the Lyre is unaffected by temperature extremes, and so can be used in the harshest of environments.

I'm a sound artist and field recordist using a wide range or recorders and microphones. I use this suspention mostly with my Sony PCM D-100, and sometimes with my Olympus LS-P4. I have also used it with the Tascam DR100 mkIII.
It can hold these heavier brick sized recorders without any problem, and provides a reasonable amount of isolation from vibrations. I mostly use it in combination with a rycote soft grip extension handle, but you can also use it with camera tripods and mic stands. it even comes with a cold shoe for camera use.
With the soft grip, it becomes an excellent tool for a run and gun operation where you can't use a bigger rig, or a leisurely stroll where you still want to be at the ready to start recording in a jiffy but still reducing handling noise to a minimum.
the wheel on the 1/4" screw to connect to the recorder is sturdy, but it can sometimes be a bit tricky to connect the recorder. Once it's on. It's well secure.
Overal, I'm quite pleased with this little tool.
