Cut and bosst frequencies are not identical.Compared to existing passive EQ concepts, the PassEQ represents several different EQs in one unit with its large number of bands and frequencies. A further special PassEQ feature is the unique individual sonic design of each inductive filter through a dedicated coil/condenser/resistor combination, and each inductor is separately adapted for its respective frequency. Next to the peak filters (Mid boost & cut, HF boost) the PassEQ also provides hi cut, low cut, and low boost as shelving-filters. The HF band offers variable Q adjustments For the output gain amplifiers (necessary as make up gain for inevitable passive filtering signal reductions), PassEQ offers SPL’s SUPRA-OPs, which operate on unique 120 Volt rails. The SUPRA-OPs show an extraordinary S/N ratio of 116 dB, +34 dB of headroom, in turn giving dynamic range of ca. 150 dB - figures which clearly distinguish the PassEQ's processing in either analog or digital work, placing it in a leading position far in front of any digital or analog competition.
