With the Sandberg California TM5 Roasted MN Black Highgloss w/ Matching Headstock, the cult company from Braunschweig presents a five-string electric bass that delivers versatile sounds with a perceptible vintage note with a first-class wood base and powerful Delano pickups. Besides the alder body, the five-string features a six-bolt Roasted Maple neck, while the typical hardware setup with Sandberg Bridge 5 and Sandberg Machine Heads completes the California TM5 bass guitar.

Proven wood base for classic sounds

For the construction of the California TM5 Roasted, the Brunswick company relies on proven woods. While the body is made of alder, the six-piece bolted neck is made of stable and resonant Roasted Maple. Accordingly, the five-string comes up with a crisp and sustain-rich sound, which also integrates the low B-string into the sound with precise articulation. For comfortable playability provides furthermore the pleasantly shaped C-neck profile, on which even complex grooves go easily from the fingers and invite to play electric bass.

Two powerful Delano pickups and the active 2-band tone control give the five-string electric bass a wide sound spectrum.

Powerful versatility thanks to Delano pickups

The pickups of the California TM5 come from Delano and convince with their versatile sound spectrum, whose pleasant vintage nuances are always recognizable. Using the blend control, a wide spectrum of different sound nuances can be called up, ranging from the rich and assertive power tone of the Delano MCFE humbucker mounted close to the bridge to the fat yet transparent sound of the Delano JMVC single coil. To further customize the Bass sound, you can also use the active 2-band tone control and the split switch for the humbucker, which allows you to create authentic bridge single-coil sounds.

The massive Sandberg Bridge 5 contributes to the characterful sound of the electric bass and guarantees a perfect adjustment of intonation and string position.

Sandberg Hardware

High-quality Hardware from our own company completes the equipment of the California TM5 Roasted MN Black Highgloss from Sandberg. The strings are held on the body by the Sandberg Bridge 5, whose massive construction contributes significantly to the even sound of the five-string. Due to the three-dimensional adjustability a perfect adjustment of intonation and string position is guaranteed. At the headstock the strings are guided via zero fret and nut to the indestructible Sandberg Machine Heads, which guarantee a reliable tuning of the bass guitar.
