The Schaller Oyster Piezo Pickup is an element and latch single adhesive pickup for alternative amplification. Schaller's patented Oyster pickups offer a natural and powerful reproduction of the instrument sound without active circuits or preamps. The excellent sound result is achieved by a perfect interaction of diaphragm, piezo element and plastic contact. All Oyster models feature a double-sided adhesive film with a removable gluing pad that will not damage the instrument cover.
For guitars with a very good resonance Schaller recommend the thin adhesive pads. The use of silicone rubber is ideal if very high volume levels are desired. Procedure: cut off about 2cm adhesive, remove the protective film and the mass press a round with the underside of the pickup on the guitar.
Recommended installation: Since resonance and construction guitars are different, this is to find the best position for the pickup on your actual instrument. Three methods commonly used in practice: Among the strings, in front of the bridge, 2 to 3 treble string; Directly on the treble of the web; Behind the bridge, treble.

The adhesion of the pick up works less well in hot temperatures or locations but having the freedom to chose the where to place the pickup makes a big difference.
A friend had one and I tried their's and then had to get. I play quite aggressive guitar with a lot of cross tones and reverberation, and this picks up and reproduces the sound really nicely. My previous pick up was a magnetic one, which was more expensive, but I now realise completely wrong for my style - this one is so much better. The service was also very quick and easy - no problems at all. Looking forward to many hours of future playing :)
