The Sennheiser MK8 is a large, dual-diaphragm condenser microphone, thats amazing for advanced home recording or project studio recording. If your truly passionate about audio recording, this microphone was made for you. Sophisticated options allow you to produce your own personal and customized sound out of the MK8. The MK8 delivers warm and precise sound reproduction and its five idependent polar patterns (Omni, Cardioid, Super Cardioid, Hyper Cardioid, Figure-8) gives you a multitude of recording functions and a huge amount of sound design options.
The MK8, using a 3-step attenuator, will match the input sensitivity of which ever mixing desk or recording device is used. The proximity effect as well as low frequency rumble or structure born noise is all compensated by two adjustable filters. The one-inch dual diaphragms are adorned with 24-carat gold. A sturdy metal housing accommodates the shock-mounted capsule.
