The Tama Cocktail Jam CJP44C-SGW in Sugar White is a small, compact drum set that contains all the essentials, even though it can be stored in the smallest of spaces. This makes it ideal for street music or small club gigs.
As the name suggests, this unconventional instrument is a kind of hybrid kit. At first glance it looks like a cocktail set, but on closer inspection it turns out to be a small drum set in which everything essential is cleverly placed in a minimum of space. The Cocktail Jam Kit is played like a normal drum set in a sitting position and contains surprisingly full and harmonious sounds.
The BassDrum with the dimensions 14"x6" is directed upwards like a cocktail kit and is operated with an appropriate foot machine. An ingenious construction, consisting of three rods attached to the BassDrum boiler, which act both as spacers and as a rack, allows the 10" x5" snare drum and the 8" x5" Tom to be positioned as desired with the supplied clamps. Only the FloorTom is firmly fixed between the poles and, in addition to two sturdy legs with rubber feet and the stable pedal holding device, ensures a bombproof stand. Included in delivery is a sound-focus cushion, which is placed on the bass drum. This compresses the BassDrum sound and makes it deeper and crisper.
All elements of the Silverstar Cocktail Jam Kit can be easily and quickly inserted into each other thanks to the modest shell sizes and the one-sided fur covering (except for the SnareDrum) and thus, compressed to minimum mass, find space in only one single bag. Only the hardware parts have to be stored separately in a second bag, which is also included in the scope of delivery. Spread over two pockets, the Silverstar Cocktail Jam Kit can be easily transported from A to B and is ready for use in just a few easy steps.
