With the TP-7, Teenage Engineering presents a mobile audio recorder that is and wants to be much more than an exclusive dictation machine. Sometimes things have to happen very quickly, only the moment counts. The TP-7 is designed to do just that: to record sounds, music and voice as conveniently as possible and in the highest possible quality at the decisive moment. The sophisticated device is extremely handy, elegant and inconspicuous at the same time, and packed with details that testify to over two decades of experience of the developers. The TP-7 is recommended for frequent memos, interviews, podcasts, field recordings and live performances.
As soon as the TP-7 is in your hand, you can operate it with just four fingers without having to look at the small but sharp display. The running recording is indicated by a large red LED and the rotating tape reel. The tape reel is the central control element of the TP-7, as it is used to navigate through the menu, pause the recording until released and is also suitable for scratching the audio material or slowly scanning a recording. The side-mounted rocker switch can be used for (fast) forwarding and rewinding of a recording, while the tape reel rotates at increased speed in the corresponding direction. The TP-7 is equipped with a permanently installed rechargeable battery that guarantees up to seven hours of operation when fully charged. The size of the internal memory is 128 GB, which is basically enough for five minutes of recording every day for 20 years.
