The Zoom F1 is a flexible mini-DSLR field recorder that works with external auxiliary microphones. Included in delivery is Zoom's exchangeable capsule directional microphone SGH-6, which can be attached to the recorder like all other Zoom microphones with exchangeable interface - ideal as a supplement to other Zoom recorders with exchangeable microphones. The recorder itself works on two channels and has a stereo mini jack input, while the sound is stored internally in the recorder as wave sound (or alternatively MP3) with a maximum of 96 kHz/24 bit on a micro SDHC card (up to 32 GB). At the same time, the sound can also be fed into the video camera, creating two separate files. In case of the case, a backup copy is created. The wave signal is compatible with broadcast wave (BWF) via integrated time stamps. Recording quality level, level control, bass filter or limiter can be operated directly by button and also controlled on the monochromatic display. The complete package is rounded off by a spider holder for the accessory shoe, so that nothing more stands in the way of quick installation and starting.
Pretty much does what it supposed to. Easy to follow menu. Excellent build quality and doesn't look like it would smash if dropped. It's lightweight and looks fabulous on my camera rig. Thank you DV-247
