Second Generation of the Successful Audio-Interface

Universal Audio has revised the popular desktop format audio interface and made it even better. The new Apollo Twin mkII provides numerous technical improvements, particularly two main features: sound quality and handling during recording and playback. Universal Audio is proud to present the new Apollo Twin mkII with next-generation audio converters. Equipped with Universal Audio UNISON technology, the Apollo Twin mkII provides almost latency-free recording in conjunction with the UAD-2 powered plug-ins, including authentic emulations of famous studios from Neve, Studer, Ampex, Manley, Fender, and more.


Apollo Twin mk II – QUAD, DUO, SOLO

While the previous models were available in two versions with one or two UAD processors, the new Apollo Twin mk II is also available as QUAD, which is equipped internally with four processor boards and provides plenty of power for the real-time calculation of the UAD 2- Plug-ins. The DSP technology of the Apollo Twin mk II offers great advantages compared to conventional VSTs of the DAW: the computing power of the processor relieves the audio computer and delivers excellent audio quality.


Desktop Format Recording Studio

The included UAD-2 plug-ins make each recording setup a virtual recording studio with the analog sound of famous studio classics. When purchasing the Apollo Twin mkII, the UAD plug-in suite "Realtime Analog Classics" is included - that means: The virtual studio racks are filled with the emulations of legendary studios like UA 610-B Tube Preamp & EQ, the Legacy Versions of the LA-2A and 1176LN compressors, Pultec EQs as well as Raw Distortion, Softube Amp Rooms ...


Next Generation Recording Workflow

Compared to the original Apollo Twin, the new Apollo Twin mk II offers significantly improved monitoring functions with mute, DIM and an ALT switch to a second monitor pair. The new monitor remote control and the integrated talkback microphone are also ideal for use in home and project studios. Overall, the improvements make the Apollo Twin mkII the next generation desktop recording tool.
