The Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm (Black/Silver) is a Closed-Back Dynamic Headphone. Due to the Diffuse Field Equalisation and the innovative Bass Reflex System the listener experiences a sound quality which is balanced over the whole Frequency Range, but still powerful and brilliant. Both the Sound Engineer and the Artist feel comfortable with these Closed-Back Headphones. It is not for nothing that the DT770 Pro are among the most popular Headphones Music Store customers choose, as the wearing comfort of the Spring Steel Bracket Construction is second to none.
In my opinion, this is great value for money. Its very comfortable to wear (since I bought it, I have had it on for up to 8 hours a day), as opposed to other headphones you almost dont notice theyre there.
The sound is also quite good for its price. The online reviews didnt lie.
Seems considerably closed, although you can still hear your surroundings reasonably. That said, Ive been able to listen to it via Mac headphones output at the minimum level, even in an office environment. Make sure to buy the 80 Ohm version if youre not sure how hot you can drive it.
I purchased these headphones after my old, similarly priced headset started to fail from several years of use. I've got to admit that the sound is incredible and far superior to my previous (which still wasn't bad either), the earpads are comfortable even after several hours continuous use (though I am noticing my ears are feeling hotter in the current heat with these ones), and the cable is long enough for me to route through my cable management system. My only criticism is the plastic used to join the individual ears to the headstrap feels a little thin so I'm a little cautious handling them, hence my 4-star for craftsmanship, but with care I'm sure they'll last years. Overall, I would definitely recommend these headphones to anyone looking for a new set!
I bought these headphones about a week ago and I absolutely love them. The sound quality of them is amazing, they allowed me to hear my mixes completely differently.
They are great for both recording and mixing - the sound does start to spill/bleed a tiny bit at very high volumes even though they are closed back, so be sensible when recording.
The comfort is insane. I spent 3 hours recording and mixing with these headphones a few nights ago and only noticed how long they had been on when I was taking them off. You'll have no problems in regards to comfort.
As well as this the product is very well made. The headphones feel sturdy and almost unbreakable.
The only negatives I could think of were:
- Ear cups do not rotate at all - due to the rugged nature of the headphones, one ear on one off is not really possible (at least not comfortably)
- No coiled wire - I would have loved the coiled wire that the 250ohm pair have as the 3m straight wire becomes a little annoying.
Finally, make sure you find out which impedance suits your set up. I wanted to buy the 250ohm pair but when I looked into it, I found that a lot of people with Scarlett 2i2's were having problems with the interface not providing enough power. This made me get the 80ohm version which works perfectly with the 2i2 and you'd really struggle to hear a difference in quality.
This headphone is the perfect all rounder and feels like a product way above it's price point.
Great sounding headphones for professional use. MusicStore and DV247 as always made ordering and delivery a well timed process. Great communication. You guys rock.
Such a lovely pair of headphones, only problem for me (not even much of a problem) is that i’d have preferred a little less plasticky build
