The Free Byrd combines full freedom of movement with superior beyerdynamic sound. Digital Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) enables a sound experience without distracting ambient noise while maintaining high sound quality. When there's something important to listen to in the office or on the road, Transparency Mode also lets you blend in the outside world.

A powerful driver and the latest codecs such as aptX Adaptive and AAC ensure a perfect sound image. Technologies such as Qualcomm dual 2-mic cVc give the Free Byrd first-class speech intelligibility when making calls, whether in mono or stereo mode.

The integrated rechargeable battery has an extra long battery life of approximately 11 hours. For charging, the earphones are stowed in the charging case and charged via USB-C or a Qi charging pad. Together with the charging case, the Free Byrd achieves up to 30 hours of battery life.

Silicone earpieces in various sizes provide a perfect fit while being comfortable to wear. The three additionally included foam earpieces are very suitable for sports.

Thanks to Google Fast Pair, the Free Byrd connects to the end device in seconds. As Google- and Apple-certified True Wireless headphones, the Alexa and Siri voice assistants are available.

For latency-critical applications (such as gaming or watching videos), the Low Latency Mode ensures perfect synchronization between picture and sound. The Light Guide System facilitates operation with different light colors. For further adjustments and updates around the Free Byrd, the beyerdynamic MIY app can be used (free of charge).

The Free Byrd is protected against splashing water and sweat according to IPX4 certification and is very suitable for sports activities.
